How Hardy Original Came to Be

- Theresa
- In 2007 I was over-weight, and thought if my hands were busy, I wouldn’t eat so much so I took up crocheting and made slippers for friends and family. Then it was for their friends and their families. The list kept growing. I kept crocheting as people were asking for my slippers and not just one pair. These people were asking for three and four pairs at a time. They couldn’t find anyone who made them like I did. When I realized how popular they had become I started advertising. Retirement and nursing homes started calling to book shows for their residents. I now sell to most of them from Belle River to LaSalle, to Hospitals and other associations and just right from the front door all year round. People were ordering from all across the county. My slippers are now being worn by doctors, lawyers, teachers, and people that are extremely picky about what they wear on their feet. Check out, "What People Are Saying". My slippers are based on what your mother, aunt, or grandmother made but with some fantastic improvements! Check them out!
