How Hardy Original Came to Be

My photo
In 2007 I was over-weight, and thought if my hands were busy, I wouldn’t eat so much so I took up crocheting and made slippers for friends and family. Then it was for their friends and their families. The list kept growing. I kept crocheting as people were asking for my slippers and not just one pair. These people were asking for three and four pairs at a time. They couldn’t find anyone who made them like I did. When I realized how popular they had become I started advertising. Retirement and nursing homes started calling to book shows for their residents. I now sell to most of them from Belle River to LaSalle, to Hospitals and other associations and just right from the front door all year round. People were ordering from all across the county. My slippers are now being worn by doctors, lawyers, teachers, and people that are extremely picky about what they wear on their feet. Check out, "What People Are Saying". My slippers are based on what your mother, aunt, or grandmother made but with some fantastic improvements! Check them out!

NEW!!! CHILDREN'S SIZES OF NON-SLIP SLIPPERS

Back by request. Way, way back in 2007 when I first started crocheting slippers, I had sizes to fit a newborn and sizes right up to a man’s size 12. After a few years the children’s sizes dropped off, so I discontinued the line. These past two years I’ve had requests for them again. They are made, in every way, exactly the same as the adults. All slippers made by me, regardless of size are: 2 layers (2 strands of yarn per layer), laces, a non-slip bottoms. So. Here they are. All sizes are not exact, (but close!) Childs small and medium pink have the OPTION of pearls or beads around the opening. This is ONLY for these sizes due to choking hazard of younger children.

Nothing special about their being laundered either! Throw them in the wash and let them air dry. By air drying the rubber will last that much longer as there won't be heat drying it out or extra hydro to pay for by providing the heat to dry them. If they are needed right away, they can go in the dryer on medium heat. Below are the sizes and their prices.

Non-Slip Slippers

Our slippers are not a fashion statement. We are about comfort and warmth.

These hand-crafted slippers are easy care, convenient, warm and comfortable. They are based on what your mother, aunt, or grandmother made but with some fantastic improvements! First of all, they’re non-slip (it stays on when laundered) next, they’re super thick, almost like a shoe, and they have a lace to make the slipper feel the perfect comfort fit for the wearer. Do they sound great? They are! Here’s the kicker they’re only $23 (cash) and they last for years!  Here is what I have to offer you.
